Preparations for SBI PO Mains exam: –

The marks of main exam will be considered for the final merit; therefore, the mains exam is very important. The candidates have more than 50 days to prepare for this exam. The study plan for main exam is given below. Follow it sincerely to crack the mains phase of SBI PO 2018.

Reading Comprehension:- Improve reading skills using, book written by Norman Lewis named How to read faster and better. Start reading articles from various platforms.
Grammar:- Start practicing questions based on grammar like error spotting, sentence improvement, fill in the blanks, cloze test etc.
Vocabulary:- Keep on Revising  Norman Lewis’s and increase time for practice from app
Reading Comprehension:- keep on  reading articles from various platforms and fields.
Grammar:- Keep  practicing questions based on grammar
Vocabulary:- Keep on Revising  Norman Lewis’s and increase time for practice from app
Reading Comprehension:- keep on  reading articles from various platforms and fields and attempt RCs from previous year’s questions papers.
Grammar:- Keep  practicing questions based on grammar

Data Interpretation   In main exam the focus will be on the data interpretation skills. Along with DI, there will be questions from arithmetic and advanced math.
Start with Data Interpretation first.
Complete 80 sets of Data interpretation,
Revise concepts of Arithmetic and algebra.
Attempt minimum of 60 sets of Data interpretation
Revise concepts of Advanced math, which includes mensuration, geometry, trigonometry etc.
Attempt minimum of 60 sets of Data interpretation

Start taking topic wise quizzes

Reasoning Ability In main exam the focus shifts from easy to moderate and difficult topics.
Start practicing moderate topics first like:-
Input output, coding decoding, and other miscellaneous topics.
Keep on practicing moderate topics and start taking topic wise quizzes.
Start revising all concepts of puzzles.
Attempt minimum of 30 sets of Puzzles.
Start practicing critical thinking and decision making topics. It includes questions based on decision tree and flow chart based questions.
Attempt minimum of 40 sets of Puzzles.  
Now it’s time to mainly focus on puzzles but don’t miss topic wise quizzes to stay in touch with previously practiced topics.

Current Affairs: Banks in News – New products launched schemes, awards, appointments, foreign branches.
Banking Awareness: All important information related to the regulatory bodies like RBI, SEBI, IRDAI and other Regulatory bodies
Current Affairs: Important Committees, New Appointments, and changes in government bodies, new acts related to financial sectors, current scenario of global markets.
Banking Awareness: Capital markets – Instruments and their properties
Money markets – Instruments and their properties

Current Affairs: Government Schemes and Policies
Abbreviations, Slogan, Launched by, Brand ambassador, Target dates.
Banking Awareness: Inflation, National Income, new organizations formed, and other important banking and financial concepts.
Current Affairs: Books and Authors, Events, PM visits and MoUs signed, Ceremonies
Start taking topic wise quizzes.
